A bit about ME…

I’m not a certificate hanging kind of gal, and believe it or not, you don’t actually have to have any formal qualifications to work as a “beauty therapist” in NZ – pause for gasp of shock – but just before you go and google that wee fact, I am proud to announce that I am indeed qualified to do what I do, so let’s continue.

Life’s a funny thing and as terribly cliche as it sounds, I DO believe that everything happens for a reason. In my early twenties, I was diagnosed with skin cancer (yes in my early twenties), and what followed was an overwhelming fascination of our largest organ – the skin, and in particular, skin health. The devastating news of the big “C” coincided with a quarter life crisis and hey presto – change of career.

Fast forward and here I am today –  100% utterly passionate about the industry I’ve pursued. Over the years I’ve worked in some amazing places and for the past three, have had my own business. I’ve built up a loyal base of clientele from all over NZ, and operate strictly by appointment only on the beautiful North Shore.

The official stuff: NZQA Beauty Therapy and Spa Therapies, CIDESCO and CIBTAC (with honours), plus ongoing post graduate training.
